A few days ago I applied for a job teaching summer school and today I was offered the job officially. I will be working with 6th and 7th graders (teaching ESL) in order to prepare them better for the upcoming school year. I will be busy with this from July 12-August 17 (for any of who you may be planning a trip out this way). Works out great because I will still get some time off during the summer and also get to work within my field gaining more experience.
I am also applying for a full-time position teaching ESL in a middle school near our house for next school year. We'll see if anything comes of that. I will most likely be attending graduate school starting in the fall as well, so it could make for a very busy year.
