An overdue update

Last week I was offered a teaching job for next year at Gresham high school. I will be teaching ESL nearly full-time. I will actually be teaching some of the same students I taught first semester last year when I was teaching at GHS. I will also be going to school two nights a week at Concordia University working toward an Masters of Arts in Teaching. It will take me through the summer of 2009 to finish it up (22 months). Mary is continuing her work at Legacy Mt. Hood Medical Center, as well as working at a local pediatric clinic. In about a week she will be taking off for a week for the Admiraal family reunion over in the midwest. I will not be going because I will be teaching summer school starting on the 12th of July and continuing through the 17th of August. We are hoping to get in some quality camping sometime this summer as well. Not to mention hoping to see some friends and family as they journey out this way.

Other than that, we have been looking to purchase a home for the past while. About a week ago, we put in an offer on a town house we were interested in and today that process of offer and counter offer has ended with an accepted offer. We will be tying up all the loose ends and hope to be moving in the next month or so. Sure to make this summer even more busy, but then we can settle down for a while. No more moving for at least 5 years would be nice. We are really excited about this! We will be staying in the same local area, only moving about 50 blocks to the West. Still convenient location for both of our jobs, within bus or bike.

It's the one on the right.

Nice place! Settling down some in your old age. :) It sounds like your plate is full, be sure to still enjoy the important things despite the busyness. Now you will have a place of your own to watch the Vikes who of course have THE best running back in the NFL.
