Settling back in

hey all
hope you enjoy the pics of the new place. we are living in the upstairs, while Shaun lives in the downstairs. it is a great place. we are surprised by how nice it is. feeling comfortable here which is nice when so many things feel weird. still getting used to being back in the US. you are all invited to come over for a visit, we would love to have you.
tomorrow we'll be getting together with Shaun and his parents, till now we have only briefly met him and his mom. he has been staying over at his parents house during our set-up at the place. it was nice to be able to get sort of settled (at least unpacked) before having to begin to learn his routine, which will become ours. i'll begin looking for a job this next week as well, hoping to find something in my area of expertise (if you can call it that), but also there are many other details that i have to take care of as part of our re-entry. ha. funny way to put it.
we had a great time in lynden with mary's sister and brother-in-law and their kids. it was awesome. real refreshing, great to catch up. beautiful weather, even went out fishing a little. didn't get anything though. arrived on the 30th of june and left on the 6th of july. had a great 4th of july lighting off tons of fireworks with their neighbors. they really go all out. they were storing most of our things in their attic, so we rented a u-haul and drove back to portland, about 6 hours. mary drove the car and i the u-haul. arrived here and it's been a blur ever since. at this point we are pretty much unpacked and have most things in their places. feeling like we can take a breath. got the bikes ready today and went out for a ride...ya, well that's probably enough. hope you are all doing well, feel free to leave a comment or drop us an email at nathenns@hotmail.com. be in the winnipeg area from august 8-14, mostly in steinbach i guess.
